a lot to be thankful for...

Many of you may have noticed that I suddenly took a little hiatus from the blogging world for a couple of weeks. A lot has happened, some good, but more not so good. It's been a bit of a rollercoaster ride, but it's during this period that I've had a bit of time to ponder and reflect what was around me.

Love lost, and when I look close enough, love found, in people, in family, in life, and in the world around us. As a friend told me recently, we were given this amazing gift to love others, and for that I'm thankful.

Wow, you have really reflected my own current state of mind Eric. My life took a bit of a rollercoaster ride as well at the end of August, with the loss of a job that I really loved. Blogging sort of takes a back seat to major life events I guess. I agree though about having a lot to be thankful for, it's so important to recognize the positives when life gets tough. Sounds like your attitude will get you through. I'm glad to know I'm not the only virtual running pal to take a little hiatus. ;)
Hope life leads you on a better road these days. Take care friend!

Glad to see you back despite all the craziness. I talked a little bit with Addy last Sunday about you, was just wondering if everything was ok since you've been gone awhile.

Just like a trail run, life is hilly and sometimes the uphills are relentless but every step you take is one more step forward and past the problem(s). You stop, look around and see others going through the same fight, some are friends and they support you. Sometimes it's someone you don't know and you support each other anyway. Hundreds of small steps later, with the support of others, you get through it.

Stay strong pare, as you have been. I don't know all the details and I don't need to know just glad you're back and willing to share at least that much publicly on your blog.

love lost, i hope it's not someone in the family.

but i tell you what homeboy, when life pushes you, you just gotta push back, dude. you keep stepping on and throwing those punches no matter what. you stop for a bit to rest your arms and you give IT a chance to think, then IT with it's weird sense of humor, will find an angle or a tiny opening good enough to jack you up big style.

but really, whatever it is, it can't be that bad, homes. pick up and drive on. don't let me down, you hear? i got your back. 50 long coming up. get your focus, dig deep, understand it's gonna be hard, but suck it up and drive on!!!

but if there's a yahoo involved that sort of "got in between", tell me where he lives and works and i shall explore with him the real meaning of life. :)

otherwise get back on track. rely on friends that care for you and really love you.

ayos lang yan, `tol.

awww! you know when a person is allowing other people to have a glimpse of his real state, you just did exactly that! how earnest of you. and rick is correct, we need not to know the nitty gritty, but we are just happy you are back :-) and everyone would agree, that we missed your company mate!

The univers knows how to balance itself, love gets lost and new love appears - we can never be without love!

Glad you are back, Eric.

Glad to see you back in blog word :) Everyone has offered very eloquent and fitting words of support, which I don't think I'm capable of following with anything nearly as substantial, so I'll just say that I'm glad to see such a positive attitude despite everything that's going on in your life. It takes a truly strong person to be able to do that, and you definitely are embodying that characteristic. Hope life feels a bit like it's starting to come back together. Still looking forward to seeing you in a few weeks!

e-rod,
I'm glad you're back in cyberspace but to me, you were really never that far away. I'm honored to be your friend.
